G.S.R. 392—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that It is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amend- ment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 232-Customs, dated the 23rd November, 1963: —
In the said notification, for the words figures, letter and brackets, "as is leviable thereon under section 2A of the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934)', the following shall he substituted, namely:—
"leviable thereon under section 2A of the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934), as is equivalent to the duty of excise for the time being leviable under sub-section (I) of section 12 of the lubber Act, 1947 (24 of 1947), on rubber produced In India."
