NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 5th March 1970
S.O. 930. Whereas the President has by notification published in the Gazette of India, on 5th March , 1970 , called upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala to elect three members to the Council of States;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of sec- tion 39 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints with respect to the said election
( a) the 12th March , 1970 ( Thursday ) , as the last date for making nomina- tions;
(b) the 13th March , 1970 ( Friday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nomina- tions;
( c ) the 16th March, 1970 ( Monday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 25th March , 1970 ( Wednesday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and
(e ) the 31st March , 1970 ( Tuesday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

एस ० श्रो ० 930.-यतः राष्ट्रपति के भारत के राजपत्त्र में 5 मार्च , 1970 को प्रकाशित अधिसूचना द्वारा केरल विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से यह अपेक्षा की है कि वे राज्यसभा के लिए तीन सदस्य निर्वाचित कर दें ।
श्रतः अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 39 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निर्वाचन आयोग , उक्त निर्वाचन के बारे में एतदद्वारा निम्नलिखित तारीखें नियत करता है :
(क) नामनिर्देशन करने की अन्तिम तारीख
12 मार्च , 1970 ( गुरुवार )
( ख ) नामनिर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख
13 मार्च, 1970 ( शुक्रवार )
( ग ) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख 16मार्च , 1970 ( सोमवार)
( घ ) वह तारीख , जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो तो, मतदान 25 मार्च, 1970 ( बुधवार) [होगा; तथा
( ङ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन पूरा कर दिया जाएगा । 31मार्च , 1970 ( मंगलवार )

8.O. 931. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Representa- tion of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission , in consultation with the Government of Kerala , hereby designates the Secretary , Kerala Legislative Assembly , to be the Returning Officer for the blennial election to the Council of States, to be held in the State of Kerala in pursuance of the President's notifica- tion published in the Gazette of India on the 5th March , 1970

एस ० श्रो ० 931.--लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 21 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निर्वाचन आयोग, केरल सरकार के परामर्श से , भारत के राजपत्त्र में 5 मार्च 1970 को प्रकाशित राष्ट्रपति की अधिसूचना के अनुसरण में केरल राज्य में राज्यसभा के लिए होने वाले द्विवार्षिक निर्वाचन के लिए एतद्वारा सचिव , केरल विधान सभा को रिटर्निंग श्राफिसर पदाभिहित करता है ।

S.O. 932. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints the Joint Secretary , Kerala Legislative Assembly , to assist the Returning Officer for the biennial election to the Council of States to be held in the State of Kerala in pursuance of the President's notification published in the Gazette of India on the 5th March, 1970 , in the performance of his functions .

एस ० श्रो ० 932.--लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 22 की उपधारा ( 1) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निर्वाचन आयोग भारत के राजपन्न में 5 मार्च , 1970 को प्रकाशित राष्ट्रपति की अधिसूचना के अनुसरण में केरल राज्य में राज्यसभा के लिए होने वाले द्विवार्षिक निर्वाचन के लिए एतद्वारा संयुक्त सचिव , केरल विधान सभा को रिटर्निंग आफिसर को उसके कृत्यों में सहायता करने के लिए नियुक्त करता है ।

S.O. 933. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Representa- tion of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. , as the hours during which the poll shall , if necessary , be taken at the biennial election to the Council of States in the State of Kerala to be held in pursuance of the President's notification published in the Gazette of India , on the 5th March , 1970 .

एप ० श्रो ० 933. लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 56 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए निर्वाचन आयोग , भारत के राजपत्त्र में 5 मार्च, 1970 को प्रकाशित राष्ट्रपति की अधिसूचना के अनुसरण में, केरल राज्य में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले द्विवार्षिक निर्वाचन के लिए 9 बजे पर्वाल से 2 बजे अपरान्ह तक का समय उस समय के रुप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिस के दौरान , यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो, मतदान होगा ।
