ORDER
New Delhi, the 10th March, 1970
G.S.R. 427.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essen- tial Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Tripura Foodgrains Movement Control (No. 2) Order, 1959, namely: —
1. This Order may be called the Tripura Food grains Movement Control (No. 2) Amendment Order, 1970.
2. In the Tripura Foodgrains Movement Control (No. 2) Order, 1959. (hereinafter referred to as the said Order). in clause 2. for sub-clause (a), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely.—
"(a) 'Lieutenant Governor means the Administrator of Tripura".
3. In clause 3 of the said Order,
(1) for the words 'Chief Commissioner' wherever they occur, the words 'Lieutenant Governor' shall be substituted;
342 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-~SEC 3(i)] (2) after sub-clause (2). the following sub-clause shall be Inserted, namely; —"(3) Notwithstanding anything contained In sub-clause (2) the Lieutenant Governor may, by a notified order, allow the movement of food- drains from any one of the revenue sub-divisions to any other revenue sub-division or revenue sub-divisions as may be specified in the Order".
4. In clause 4 of the said Order, for the words 'Chief Commissioner', the words 'Lieutenant Governor1 shall be substituted.
