New Delhi , the 10th March 1970
S.O. 954. Whereas the Central Government is satisfled that in the public interest it is necessary to make the following order ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section ( 1 ) of sec- tion 3 of the Essential Services Maintenance Act , 1968 (59 of 1968 ) , the Central Government hereby prohibits strikes in the following essential services in the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh , namely:-
(a) any transport service (other than Railway service ) for the carriage of passengers or goods by land , water or air;
(b ) any other service in connection with the affairs of the Union under the Government of the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh . By Order and in the name of the President ,
