G.S.R. 493.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Assam Re-organisation (Meghalaya) Act, 1969 (55 of 1969), the Central Government hereby appoints the 2nd day of April, 1970, as the date on which all the provisions of the said Act (other than those which have already been brought into force) shall come Into force.
