G.S.R. 520.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of paragraph 1 of the Third Schedule to the Assam Reorganisation (Meghalaya) Act, 1969 (55 of 1969), the Central Government hereby specifies the following ratio as the ratio between the population as ascertained at the 1961 Census of Meghalaya and the rest of the State of Assam, namely: —
Population of Population of the Meghalaya : rest of Assam . 6 . 27 : 93.73
