NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th March 1970

S. O. 1196.—Whereas in pursuance of the notification issued by the Governor on the 5th March, 1970 under Rule 3 of the Assam Reorganisation (Meghalaya) (Election to the Provisional Legislative Assembly) Rules, 1970 a general election has been held for the purpose of constituting the Provisional Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya

And whereas the date fixed for the completion of the said general election under sub-rule (c) rule 6 of the said rules, was the 23rd March 1970

Now, therefore, in pursuance of rule 44 of the said Rules, the Election Commission hereby notifies the names of the members who have beer eleted by the electoral colleges of the autonomous districts of Garo Hills, United Khasi-Jaintia Hills and Jowai by the said date :—
