G.S.R. 588-584. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue & Insurance) No. 134/66-Central Excises, dated the 23rd August, 1966, namely: —
In the said notification—
(I) In the first paragraph, for the letters and figures "Rs. 70.00", the letters and figures "Rs. 98.50" shall be substituted: and
(ii) in paragraph 2, for the expression "31st March, 1970" the expression "31st March, 1971" shall be substituted.
