New Delhi, the 2nd April 1970
S.O. 1292.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (a) of clause (1) of article 80 of the Constitution of India, read with clause (3) of that article, the President is pleased to nominate to the Council of States the following four per- sons, namely:—
1. Shri Jairamdas Daulatram.
2. Shrimati Maragatham Chandrasekhar.
3. Shri Uma Shankar Joshi.
4. Professor Rashid Uddin Khan.
to fill the seats of the four nominated members to the Council of States retiring on 2nd April, 1970, on the expiration of their terms of office.
