New Delhi , the 17th April 1970
S.O. 1512. Whereas a vacancy has occured in the House of the People by reason son of the resignation of Shri Shripati Misra , a member elected to that House from 25-Sultanpur parliamentary constituency in the State of Uttar Pradesh ;
Now , therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Com- mission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 23rd May , 1970 , in accordance with the provisions of the sald Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person to fill the said vacancy.

फा० प्रा० 1512.-यतः उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के 25 सुल्तानपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिये निर्वाचित सदस्य श्री श्रीपति मिश्र के त्याग पत्र दे देने के कारण उस सदन में एक स्थान रिक्त हो गया है ।
अतः , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 149 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन क्षेत्न से एतद्वारा अपेक्षा करता

है कि वह ऐसे हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिए 23 मई , 1970 से पूर्व , उक्त अधिनियम के और तद्धीन बनाए गए नियमों और आवेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दे ।

In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect of the bye-election to be heldin 25 - Sultanpur parliamentaryry consti- tuency in the State of Uttar Pradesh in pursuance of its notification No. 100/ UP-HP/ 7/70 ( 1 ) , dated the 17th April , 1970 ,-
(a) the 24th April , 1970 ( Friday ) , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) the 25th April , 1970 ( Saturday ) , as the date for scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 27th April , 1970 ( Monday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 17th May , 1970 ( Sunday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and
( e) the 23rd May , 1970 ( Saturday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

(क ) नाम निर्देशन करने के लिये अन्तिम तारीख
( शुक्रवार ) ।

(ख ) नामनिर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख
( शनिवार ) ।
25 अप्रैल , 1970
( सोमबार ) ।
( ग ) अभ्यथिता वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख 27 अप्रैल , 1970
17 मई , 1970 (रविवार) ।
( घ ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो , तो मनदान होगा, तथा
23 मई , 1970
(ड ० ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा । (शनिवार) ।

S.O. 1514.-In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary, be taken for the election to the House of the People from 25 - Sultanpur parliamentary constituency , to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / UP - HP / 7 / 70 ( 1 ) , dated the 17th April , 1970 .

का० प्रा० 1514. लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100/ उ ० प्र ०/ लो०/ स ० 7/70 ( 1 ) तारीख 17 अप्रैल , 1970 के अनुसरण में लोक सभा के लिये 25 -सुल्तानपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिये 8 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 5 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रुप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो , मतदान होगा ।
