IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT . Import Policy for Registered Exporters for the period April 1970-March 1971 ( Amendment No. 6. )
No. 72 - ITO ( PN ) [ 70.-Attention is invited to the import policy for Registered Exporters for the period April 1970- March 1971 as contained in the Import Trade Control Policy ( Red Book Vol . II ) and announcednounced under the Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. 48 - ITC ( PN ) / 70 dated the 31st March, 1970 .
2. Para 38 of Part B of Section I of the aforesaid Policy Book contains a provision for import of items under replenishment licences on the basis of valid Actual User Licences . In the context of the provision of the said para , the following points are clarified :-
(a) that an AU licence , of which the period of validity has not expired but the value has been exhausted , will be treated as a valid licence;
(b) that the facility provided in this paragraph can be availed of even in respect of replenishment licences issued prior to 1st April , 1970 .
3. Para 39 ( 11 ) of Part B, Section I of the aforesaid Policy Book contains a proví- sion for endorsement of items on the replenishment licences on the basis of valid AU licences pertaining to the periods specified therein . It has been decided to delete the word "valid " occurring in this para. The other conditions stipulated therein , however , remain unaltered.
