G.S.R. 800.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of sec- tion 23 of the Customs Act. 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 26-Customs, dated the 1st March. 1970, the Central Govern- ment being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do. hereby exempts all the goods specified in the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934), from the special duty of customs leviable thereon under sub- section (1) of section 29 of the Finance Act, 1970 (19 of l970).
