New Delhi, the 29th August 1970
S.R.O. 25-E.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Armed Forces (Emergency Duties) Act, 1947 (15 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares every service connected with the maintenance or operation, or both, of the Trunk Telephone Exchanges in the State of West Bengal to be a service of vital importance to the community.
