New Delhi, the 4th September 1970

S.O. 2973.—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that in the public interest it is necessary to make the following Order:

Now. therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1968 (59 of 1968). the Central Gov- ernment hereby prohibits strikes in the following essential services, namely: —

Services connected with the operation, repair or maintenance of aircraft of Air India and Indian Airlines.
