New Delhi , the 16th October 1970
G.S.R. 1797. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Pass- ports Act , 1967 ( 15 of 1967) , the Central Government hereby makes the follow- Ing further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of External Affairs No. G.S.R. 867 , dated the 24th May , 1967 , namely:-
1. ( a) In the Schedule to the said notification , for the entries in column number (2) against serial number 2 relating to Assam , the following entries shall be sub- stituted , namely :-
" 1. Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam , Shillong .
2. Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam , Shillong .
3. Deputy Secretary to the Government of Assam , Passport Department, Shillong .
4. Under Secretary to the Government of Assam , Passport Department , Shillong.
5. Deputy Commissioner , Kamrup , Gauhati .
6. Deputy Commissioner , Goalpara , Dhubri .
7. Deputy Commissioner , Darrang , Tezpur .
8. Deputy Commissioner , Nowgong , Nowgong .
9. Deputy Commissioner , Sibsagar , Jorhat .
10. Deputy Commissioner , Lakhimpur , Dibrugarh .

(b) Serial number 10 relating to Mysore shall be renumbered as serial number 11 and before serial number 11 as renumbered and the entriescles thereto , the follow- ing shall be inserted , namely :-

सा० का० ति० 1797.-पासपोर्ट अधिनियम , 1967 ( 1967 का 15 ) की धारा 21 द्वारा प्रदत्त अधिकारों का प्रयोग करते हुए , फेन्द्र सरकार , भारत सरकार, विदेश मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना सं ० जी ० एस ० घार ० 867 , दिनांक 24-5-67 , में निम्नलिखित संशोधन और करती है , अर्थात्:-
1. (क) उक्त अधिसूचना की अनुसूची में , असम से सम्बन्धिप्त क्रम सं ० 2 के सामने कालम
(2 ) की प्रविष्टियों के स्थान पर , निम्नलिखित प्रविष्टियां रखी जाएंगी, अर्थात्:-
1. मुख्य सचिव , असम सरकार , शिलांग ।
2. अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव , असम सरकार, शिलांग ।
3. उप सचिव , असम सरकार , पासपोर्ट विभाग , शिलांग ।
4. अवर सचिव , असम सरकार , पासपोर्ट विभाग , शिलांग ।
5. उप आयुक्त, कामरूप , गोहाटी ।
6. उप आयुक्त, मोलपाड़ा , दुबरी ।
7. उप आयुक्त , दारांग , तेजपुर ।

4. उप आयुक्त, संयुक्त खासी और जयन्ती पहाड़ियां, शिलांग ।
5. उप आयुक्त, गोरा पहाड़ियां , तूरा ; "
(ग) क्रम संख्या '11 से 26' को क्रमशः क्रम संख्या '12 से 27' में बदल दिया आए ।
2. यह अधिसूचना इसके सरकारी राजपक्ष में प्रकाशन की तारीख से लागू होबी ।
