S.O. 3530.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Clause (b) of Clause 2 of the Newsprint Control Order, 1962 No. CH(1)-18(l)/62 dated the 17th January, 1962, the Govt. of India is hereby pleased to appoint Shri A. Datta Majumdar Deputy Press Registrar, Office of the Registrar of Newspapers for India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, New Delhi, to exercise the powers of the Controller with immediate effect.
2. The earlier Notification No. S.O. 1978, dated the 20th May, 1970 relating to the appointment of Shri S. G. Purohit, Assistant Press Registrar for exercising the power of Controller under the said Newsprint Order, 1962, is hereby cancelled
