New Delhi, the 12th October 1970
S.O. 3551.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-clause (b) of clause 2 of the Newsprint Control Order, 1962, No. CH(1)-18(1)62 dated the 17th January, 1962, the Government of India are hereby pleased to appoint Shri K. S. Thakur, Registration Supervisor, Office of the Registrar of Newspapers for India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, New Delhi, to exercise the powers of the Controller under that order, with immediate effect,
2. The earlier Notification No. S.O. 2008 dated the 6th June, 1970 of the late Ministry of Commerce relating to the appointment of Shri P. K. Sinha, Section Officer, exercising the power of Controller under the said Order is hereby cancelled with effect from 5th July, 1970.
