EXPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi, the 4th November 1970 SUBJECT,—Scheme for the licensing of cotton handloom products (other than fabrics) for export to the USA during the licensing year 1st October, 1970 to 30th September. 1971.
No. PN(USA-Licensing)/3 of 1970.—Attention is invited to Public Notice No. PN(USA-Licensing)/2 of 197O, dated the 30th September, 1970, on the above sub- ject, in which the procedure for issue of licences under the above scheme was an- nounced.
2. The position has been reviewed and it has been decided that all cotton hand- loom products (other than fabrics) falling under I.C.TA. categories 28—64, details of which were given in Annexure 'A' to the Public Notice referred to above, will, until further orders, be licensed freely, on shipping bills, by the Joint Chief Con- trollers of Imports and Exports, Bombay, Delhi and Madras, by shippers who are registered under the registration scheme of the Handloom Export Promotion Coun- cil, or the All India Handloom Board or, in the case of garments, by those shippers who are admitted as members of the Ready-made Garments Panel of the Cotton Export Promotion Council. The shipping bills will have to be accompanied by firm sale contracts and certificates issued in accordance with the procedure for certifica- tion of Indian handloom products to the United States of America.
