S.O. 4083. Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the resignation of Shri B. Bhagavati a member elected to that House from 9 - Tezpur Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Assam;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of Section 149 of the Represen- tation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 5th February , 1971 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person to fill the said vacancy .

एस० श्रो० 4083.--यतः श्रासाम राज्य में के 9 - तेजपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में लोक मभा के लिए निर्वाचित सदस्य श्री बी ० भगवती द्वारा त्यागपत्र दे दिए जाने के कारण लोक मभा का एक स्थान रिक्त हो गया है ;

अतः , अब, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43) की धारा 149 के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से एतद्वाण अपेक्षा करता है कि यह ऐसे हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिए 5 फरवरी 1971 से पूर्व उक्त अधिनियम के और तखीन वनाए गए नियमों और आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दे ।

S.O. 4084. In pursuance of the porvisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby appoints, with respect to the bye - election to be held in 9 -Tezpur Parliamentary constituency in the State of Assam in pursuance of its notification No. 100 AS - HP| 1 |70 ( 1 ), dated the 22nd December , 1970.-
(a) the 29th December , 1970 , ( Tuesday ) , as the last date for inaking nomi- nations;
(b ) the 30th December , 1970 , ( Wednesday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
( c) the 2nd January , 1971 , ( Saturday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidates;
necessary , be taken; and (d ) the 24th January , 1971 , ( Sunday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if (e) the 5th February , 1971 , ( Friday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

एस ० श्रो ० 4084.-लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 30 के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100 / आसाम-लो ० स ०/ 1 / 70 (1 ) , नारीख 22 दिसम्बर , 1970 के अनुसरण में श्रासाम राज्य में के 9 - तेजपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से होने वाले उप- निर्वाचन के बारे में-
29 दिसम्बर , 1970 ( मंगलवार) (क ) नाम निर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख
30 दिसम्बर , 1970 ( बुधवार ) (ख) नाम निर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख
1971 ( शनिवार )
2 जनवरी ,
(ग) अभ्याथिता वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख
24 जनवरी , 1971 ( रविवार ) तथा;
(घ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान होगा
(ङ ) बह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन ममाप्त कर 5 फरवरी , 1971 ( शुक्रवार ) दिया जाएगा
एतद्वारा नियत करना है ।

In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the election to the House of the People from 9 - Tezpur Parliamentary con- stituency, to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / AS - HP /1 /70 ( 1 ) , dated the 22nd December , 1970 .

एस ० श्रो० 4085.--लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना संख्या -100 /श्रासाम-लो ० म०/ 1/ 70 ( 1 ) नारीख 22 दिसम्बर , 1970 के अनुसरण में 9 -तेजपुन संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए 8-00 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 5-00 बजे श्रपरान्ह तक का समय उस के रूप में एतवद्वारा नियत करना है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो, मतदान होगा ।
