NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th December 1970
S.O. 4098.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Repre- sentation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Central Government, after consulting the Election Commission, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, namely;—
1. Short title.—These rules may be called the Registration of Electors (Second Amendment) Rules, 1970.
2. Amendment of rule 26.—In rule 26 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as the "said rules") in sub-rule (1), for the words "a fee of fifty paise", the words "a fee of ten paise" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of rule 27.—In rue 27 of the said rules, in clause (b) of sbu- rule (1), for the words "a fee of three rupees", the words 'a fee of one rupee" shall be substituted.
