ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 1st January 1972

S.O. 16 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1931), the Election Com mission hereby directs that the following amendments shall be made in its Notifi- cation No. 434/PB/69, dated the 7th November, 1970, namely:— In column 3 of the Table appended to the said Notification,

(i) against item '4-Amritsar' for the existing entry numbered 6, the entry "6-District Development and Panchayat Officer, Amritsar", shall be substituted;

(ii) against item '7-Jullundur' for the existing entry numbered 3, the entry "3-Public Grievances- cum- Emigration Liaison Officer, Jullundur", shall be substituted;

(iii) against item '8-Phillaur' for the existing entry numbered 2, the entry "2-Public Grievances- cum-Emigration Liaison Officer, Jullundur", shall be substituted; and

(iv) against item '9-Ludhiana' the entries "5-Public Grievances Officer, Ludhiana" and "6-District Development and Panchayat Officer, Ludhiana", shall be added.

ERRATA

In the Election Commission's notification No. 282/1/HR/71, dated the 26th August, 1971 published in an extraordinary issue of the Gazette of India, Part-II, section 3, sub-section (ii) dated the 30th August, 1971—

At page 2643 of the gazette,—•

(i) Against the entry 25-Pehowa, in the first line for the words and bracket 'pehowa k.c.)' substitute the words 'Pehowa k.c.';

(ii) Alter the entry '27-Narwana* and before the entry '29-Julana' insert the entry '28-Jind';

(iii) Against the entry 28-Jind in the sixth line for the words 'Bir Khadawala¹Against the entry 7l-Bawani Khera (SC), in the fifth line for the word 'Bherian' substitute the word ond bracket 'Bherian)'.
