ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th January 1972

S.O. 39 (E).—In pursuance of sub-section 5 (a) of section 10 of the Government of the Union Territories (Amendment) Act, 1971, the Election Commission hereby publishes its proposals for the delimitation of assembly constituencies in the Union Territory of Mizoram and specifies the 1st February, 1972, as the date on or after which the proposals will be further considered by it;

Any objections and suggestions in regard to these proposals should be sent to the Secretary Election Commission of India. C/o the Deputy Commissioner, Aijal. before the 1st February, 1972. It will facilitate prompt consideration if the objec- tions and suggestions are sent in English.

PROPOSALS

The 30 territorial constituencies into which the Union Territory of Mizoram shall be divided for the purpose of elections to the Legislative Assembly and the extent of each such constituency shall be as in the Table below—
