New Delhi, the 18th January 1972

S-O. 41(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 44 of the North Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971 (81 of 1971), the President hereby authorises that pending the sanction by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tripura, expenditure of sums not exceeding these specified in column 2 of the Schedule annexed hereto and amounting in the aggregate to the sum of thirty-one crores, ninety-five lakhs, eighty-one thousand rupees may be incurred from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Tripura towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the period commen- cing on the 21st January, 1972 and ending with the 31st March, 1973, in respect of the services and purpose specified in column I of the said Schedule.
