NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 21 January 1972

S. O. 60(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 and sub-section (1) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission hereby directs that the following amendments shall be made in its notification No. 434/AS, 66/dated the 18 July, 1966, namely :—

In columns 2 and 3 of the Table appended to the said notification :— (i) against "13-Lakhimpur" for the existing entries Deputy "Commissioner, Lakhimpur, and Sub -Devisional Officer, Sadar, 'Dibrugarh" the entries "Diputy Commissioner, Lakhimpur District, North Lakhimpur, and Senior Extra Assistan Commissioner, North Lakhimpur".

(11) item "14-Dibrugarh" for the existing entries "Deputy commissioner, Lakhim- pur and Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, Dibrugarh", the entries "Deputy Commissioner, Dibrugarh District, Dibrugarh and Additional Deputy Commissioner Dibrugarh District, Dibrugarh".

shall be substituted respectively, and

in columns 1, 2 and 3 of the Table appended to the said notification :—

for "3-Autonomous Districts" and the existing entries relating thereto, the following, shall be substituted :—
