CUSTOMS
New Delhi, the 29th January. 1972
G.S.R. 61(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 79 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Baggage Rules, 1970, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Baggage (Amendment) Rules, 1972. (2) They shall come Into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette,
2. In the Baggage Rules, 1970 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 3,—
(i) in the opening paragraph, for the words "an adult paggenger", the words and figures "a passenger of and above the age of 12 years" shall be substituted;
(ii) in the first proviso, for the figures "18", the figures "12" shall be substituted.
3. In rule 6 of the said rules, the words "but less than two years" shall be omitted.
