G. S. R. 68 E - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1) of section II of the Salariesand Allowances of Ministers Act , 1952 (58 of 1952) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Ministers (Allowances , Medical Treatment and other Privileges) Rules , 1957 , namely :-
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Ministers ' (Allowances , Medical Treatment and other Privileges ) Amendment Rules , 1972 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette..
2. In the Ministers ' (Allowances , Medical Treatment and other Privileges ) Rules , 1957, (1) in clause ( iv) of rule 2 , the following words shall be added at the end , namely:-
"or a coupe in the air - conditioned slecper class " .
(2) after rule 2 , the following rule shall be inserted before Section J , namely :
"2A. Calculation of road mileage and mileage allowance in kilometers . The road mileage andthe mileage allowanee payable under these rules ahall be calculated with reference to distance in kilometers ." ;

(3) rule 9 shall be re - numbered as sub - rule ( 1) thereof and ,-
(a) in sub - rule ( 1 ) as so re - numbered , for the words " A Minister may when travelling in a reserved compartment on requisition be allowed , at his option, either " ., the following words shall be substituted , namely :
"A Minister , when travelling in a reserved compartment on requisition shall be entitled without payment to accommodation for two personal servants and may be allowed at his option , either " ;
(b) after sub - rule ( 1 ) as so re - numbered, the following sub - rule shall be inserted , namely :-
"(2) A Minister when travelling in a reserved compartment in a train the fare in respect of which includes , charges for meals provided in the train , the allowance for incidentals or actual travelling expenses shall be restricted to one - half of the amount to which he is entitled under sub - rule ( 1 ) . " ;
(4) in rule 10 , after the words and figure " under rule 7 , he " , the following words shall be inserted , mamely :-
"shall be entlited without payment to accommodation for two personal servants [ and" ;
(5) in sub - rule (2 ) of rule 12 , for the words " annas eight per mile" , the words " thirty - two palse per kilometer" shall be substituted;
(6) in clause (a) of sub- rule ( 1 ) of rule 13 , for the words " six maunds " , wherever they occur, the figures and word " 224 kilograma" shall be substituted;
(7) in sub - rule (3 ) of rule 17 , for the words " five miles " , the words " eight kilometers " shal be substituted .

1952 सा० का ० नि०68 ( ई ) मंत्रियों के सम्बलमों और भत्तों से संबंधित अधिनियम ( 1952 का 58 ) की धारा 11 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करत हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार एतद्वारा मंत्रियों के ( भत्त , चिकित्सीय उपचार और अन्य विशेषाधिकार ) नियम , 1957 में और श्राग संशोधन करने के लिये निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्ः-
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों का नाम मंत्रियों के ( भत्ते , चिकित्सीय उपचार और अन्य विशेषाधिकार ) संशोधन नियम , 1972 होमा ।
( 2 ) ये शासकीय राजपत्न में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. मंत्रियों के ( भत्त, चिकित्सीय उपचार और अन्य विशेषाधिकार ) नियम, 1957 में ,
( 1 ) नियम 2 के खंड ( IV ) में अन्त में निम्नलिखित शब्द जोड़ दिये जाएंगे , अर्थात्ः-
"या वातानुकूलित शायिका श्रेणी में कूपे " ;
( 2 ) नियम 2 के पश्चात् खंड 1 के पहले निम्नलिखित नियम अन्तःस्थापित किया जाएगा, प्रर्थात्ः--
" 2-क सड़क मील भत्ता प्रर मील दूरी भत्ता की केन नीटरी में यंगण -इन नियमों के अधीन संदेय सड़क भील भत्ता और मील दूरी भत्ता, दूरी के संदर्भ में किलोमीटरों में संगणित किया जाएगा । " ;

( 3 ) नियम 9 , उसके उप नियम ( 1 ) के रूप में पुनः संख्य वित किया जाएगार--
(क) इस प्रकार पुनः संख्य' कित उप- नियम ( 1 ) " में "किसी मंत्री को जब यह पहले से ही ऐनी अपेक्षा करके आरक्षित कम्पार्टमेंट में यात्रा कर रहा हो, उसके विषय पर, या तो अनुज्ञात किया जा सकेगा । " शब्दों के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किये जाएंग, अर्थात्ः-
"जब कोई मंत्री , पहले से ही ऐसी अपेक्षा घरके आरक्षित कम्पार्टमेंट में यात्रा घर रहांहो तब वह बिना संदाय किये दो निजी सेवकों की जगह का हकदार होगा और उसके विकल्प पर दोनों में से किसी एक के लिये जगह अनु- ज्ञात की जा सकेगी' :
( ख) इस प्रकार पुनः संख्यंकित उप- नियम ( 7 ) के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित उप- नियम अन्तःस्थापित किया जाएगा , अर्थात्ः-
भाड़े में रेल गाड़ी में दिये जाने वाले अनुषंगिक या वास्तविक व्यय के लिये होगा जिसका ह उप - नियम ( I ) के "( 2 ) जब कोई मंत्री रेलगाड़ी के आरक्षिप्त कम्पार्टमेंट में यात्रा कर रहा हो जिसके भोजन का प्रभार सम्मिलित है , तब भत्ता उस रषम के य तक सीमित अधीन हकदार है । " ;
(4) नियम 10 में , " नियम 7 के अधीन, वह" शब्दों और क के पश्चात् निग्नलिखित शब्द अन्तःस्थापित किये जाएंगे , अथर्थात्ः-
"बिना संदाय किये दो निजी सेवकों की जगह का हकदार होगा और "
( 5) नियम 12 के उप - नियम ( 2 ) में " श्रठ "बब्धीस पैसे प्रति किलोमीटर " शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किये जाएंगे ; आना प्रति र्मल " शदे येथन पर
( 6) नियम 13 के उप - नियम ( 1 ) के खंड ( क) में " हह मन " शब्दो जहां वहीं धे आये हों, हे स्थान पर " 224 कि नोग्राम" अंध और शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किये जाएगे ;
( 7) नियम 17 के उप -नियम ( 3 ) में , " पांच मील " शब्दों के स्थान पर " श्राठ किलोमीटर " शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किये जाएंगे ।
