New Delhi , the 4th February , 1972
S.O. 96 ( E) . Whereas an election is required to be held by sub - section (4 ) of section 17 of the North- Eastern Area (Reorganisation ) Act , 1971 ( 81 of 1971 ) , to elect a representative from the Tura ( ST) Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Meghalaya as if the seat of the member elected to the House of the People from that constituency has become vacant ;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of section ( 149 ) of the Representation of the feople Act, 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 17th March , 1972 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder , a person who is a member of any of the Scheduled Tribe to fill the said seat .

प्रतिनिधि का निर्वाचन करने के लिए निर्वाचन किया जाना अपेक्षित है, मानो उस निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिए निर्वाचित सदस्य का स्थान रिक्त हो गया हो ;
'अतः , अब , लोक-प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 149 के उपबन्धों के श्रन्सरण में, निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन क्षेत्न से एतद्द्द्वारा यह अपेक्षा करता है कि वह उक्त स्थान को भरने के लिए 17 मार्च , 1972 से पूर्व , उक्त अधिनियम के और तद्धीन बनाए नियमों और आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक ऐसा व्यक्ति निर्वाचित करदे जो किसी अनुसूचित जनजाति का सदस्य हो ।

S.O. 97 ( E ) . In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the election to be held in 2 - Tura (ST ) Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Meghalaya in pursuance of its notification No. 464 / MEG - HP / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 4th February , 1972 :-
(a ) the 11th February , 1972 ( Friday ) , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) the 12th February , 1972 ( Saturday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 14th February , 1972 ( Monday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 9th March , 1972 ( Thursday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and
(e) the 17th March , 1972 ( Friday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed.

30 के उपबन्धों के अनुसरणों में , 72 ( 1 ) तारीख 4 फरवरी , निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 464/मैषा ० लो० म ०/ 1972 , के अनुसरण में मेघालय राज्य में 2-तुरा ( अजजा ) ससदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्न से होने वाले निर्वाचन के बारे में--
11 फरवरी, 1972 ( शुक्रवार ) ;
(क) नामनिर्देशन के लिए अन्तिम तारीख
12 फरवरी, 1972 ( शनिवार ) ;
(ख ) नामनिर्देशिन की संवीक्षा की तारीख
14 फरवरी, 1972 ( सोमवार ) ;
(ग ) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख
9 मार्च, 1972 ( बृहस्पतिवार ) ; तथा (घ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो तो मतदान होगा
17 मार्च , 1972 ( शुक्रवार ) (ङ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएग ।
को एतद्वारा नियत करता है ।

In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , he taken for the election to the House of the People from Tura ( ST ) Parliamentary Constituency , to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 464 / MEG- HP / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 4th February , 1972 .

एस ० श्र० 98 ( अ) लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में, निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 464/मेघा, लो ० स ०/ 72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 4 फरवरी , 1972 के अन्मर में, 2-तुरा ( अजजा ) मंमदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्न से लोक सभा के लिए होन वाले निर्वाचन के लिए 7-00 बजे पूर्वान्ह से 5-00 बजे अपरान्ह तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है, जिसके राशन यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो मतदान होगा ।
