NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th February 1972.
S.O. 124 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952 (74 of 1952), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 638, dated the 10th February 1969 (as amended from time to time), namely.—
In the said notification, for the words, "which provides for delivery within the month from the date of which the contract has been entered into", the following shall be substituted, namely:—
' which provides for delivery —
(i) within two months from the date on which such contract has been entered into for the sale or purchase of cotton grown in the border areas of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan; or
(II) within one month from the date on which such contract baa been entered into in respect of cotton grown in other areas:
Explanation.—In this notification 'border areas" means the districts of Amrit- sar, Ferozepore and Bhatinda in the State of Punjab, the district of Hiasar in the state of Haryana and the districts of Ganganagar in the State of Rajasthan.".
