NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 8th February 1972

S.O. 126(E).—In pursuance of paragraph 17 of the Election Symbols (Reserva- tion and Allotment) Order, 1968, the Election Commission hereby makes the follow- ing amendment in its notification No. 56/72-1, dated the 1st February 1972, pub- lished in an extraordinary issue of the Gazette of India Part II, Section 3(ii), dated the 2nd February, 1972, namely:—

In Table 3—

(1) against the entry '1. Andhra Pradesh' for "(14) Tiger and (15) Elephant" the following shall be substituted, namely "(14) Tiger, (15) Elephant and (16) Rising Sun";

(2) against the entry '3. Bihar' for "(10) im, (20) Elephant and (21) Soldier with a gun" the following shall be substituted, namely "(19) Drum and (20) Elephant";

(3) against the entry '9. Madhya Pradesh ' for (11) Swastik within a circle, (12) Spade and Stoker and (13) Soldier with a gun" the following shall be substituted, namely "(11) Swastik within a circle and (12) Spade and Stoker";

(4) against the entry '16. Punjab' for "(11?) Flaming Torch, (13) Soldier with a gun and (14) Elephant" the following shall be substituted, namely "(12) Flaming Torch and (13) Elephant"; and(5) against the entry '12. West Bengal' for "(23) Drum, (24) Soldier with a Run and (25) Elephant" the following shall be substituted, namely "(23) Drum and (24) Elephant". [No 30/72-II.] By, Order, K. S. RAJAGOPALAN Secy 299
