NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 11 th February, 1972

S.O. 136(E).—In pursuance of paragraph 17 of the Election Symbols (Reservation and

Allotment) Order, 1968, the Election Commission hereby makes the following amendment

in its notification No. 56/72-1, dated the 1st February, 1972 published in an extraordinary

issue of the Gazette of India Part II, Section 3 (ii) dated the 2nd February, 1972,

namely:—

in Table 3—

(1) against the entry 9. Madhya Pradesh' for "(11) Swastik within a circle and

(12) Spade and Stoker" the following shall be substituted, namely "(11)

Swastik within a circle, (12) Spade and Stoker and (13) Elephant";

(2) against the entry '21. West Bengal" for "(23) Dram and (24) Elephant" the

following shall be substituted, namely "(23) Drum, (24) Elephant, (25)

Plough, and (26) Ladder"; and
