NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 24th February, 1972
S.O. 163 (E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 43 of the Indian Post Office Act, 1898 ( 6 of 1898 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 , namely :-
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Indian Post Office (7th Amendment ) Rules , 1972.
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of March, 1972 .
2. In the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 , to rule 128 , the following proviso shall be added, namely :-
"Provided that a telegraphic money order , express or ordinary, for a sum not exceeding two hundred and fifty rupees shall not be accepted for payment on Sundays through a post office kept open on such days for delivery of 'Express Delivery Articles' unless an additional supplementary fee of one rupee is paid on such money order ."
