THE ADMINISTRATORS-GENERAL (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1972
No. 2 OF 1972
Promulgated by the President in the Twenty-third Year of the Republic of India.
An Ordinance further to amend the Administrators-General Act,
1963.
WHEREAS Parliament is not in session and the President Is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action:
Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 123 of the Constitution, the President is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance: —
13 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SIC. 1]2. During the period of operation of this Ordinance, the Admiuistrators- General Act, 1963 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in section 3.
Act 45 of 1963 to be tern porarily amended.
3. In section 9, section 10, section 29 and section 36 of the principal
Act, for the words "five thousand" wherever they occur, the words "fifteen thousand" shall be substituted.
