CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 1st March 1972
G.S.R. 91 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 17/72-C.E., dated the 1st February, 1972, the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value of one hundred and ninety rupees per quintal for sugar falling under sub-item (1) of Item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty ad-valorem.
