New Delhi , the 9th March 1972
S.O. 182 ( E ) . The following Order made by the President on the 8th March , 1972 is published for general information :--
THE GOVERNMENT OF UNION TERRITORIES ( REMOVAL OF DIFFICULTIES)
ORDER NO . 6
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Government of Union Territoriés . Act, 1963 ( 20 of 1963 ) , the President hereby inakes the following Order, namely :-
1. ( 1 ) This Order maybe called the Government of Union Territories ( Removal of Difficulties) Order No, It shall come into force at once

2. The Representation of the People Act , 1950 ( 43 of 1950 ) , shall have effect subject to the following modification , namely :-
In the Second Schedule to the sald Act , under the heading " II . UNION TERRI- TORIES " , after item 4 and the entries relating thereto , the following shall be inserted , namely:-
" 5. Mizoram 30 ." .
3. The Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , shall have effect subject to the following modification , namely : --
In section 15 of the said Act , after sub -section ( 1 ) , the following proviso shall be inserted , namely:-
"Provided that a general election shall also be held for the purpose of cons- tituting in due time the first Legislative Assembly for the Union Territory of Mizoram in accordance with law. "
4. For each of the Assembly constituencies of the Union territory of Mizoram which is delimited under section 43A of the Government of Union Territories Act , 1963 ( 20 of 1963 ) , the electoral roll shall , for the purposes of the Representation of the People Act , 1950 ( 43 of 1950 ) , be prepared by putting together so much of the electoral rolls for the Assembly constituencies of the State of Assam as relates to the area or part thereof which , as from the 21st day of January , 1972 ,is com- prised within that Assembly constituency of the Union territory of Mizoram and the electoral rolls so prepared shall be the electoral roll for that Assembly cons- tituency.

का० अ ० 182 ( प्र ) राष्ट्रपति द्वारा दिनांक 8 मार्च, 1972 को बनाया गया निम्न- लिखित प्रादेश सर्वसाधारण की सूचना के लिए प्रकाशित किया जाता है ।
संघ राज्य क्षेत्र शासन ( कठिनाइयों का निराकरण ) प्रादेश सं ० 6
राष्ट्रपति, संष राज्य क्षेत्र शासन श्रधिनियम , 1963 ( 1963 का 20 ) की धारा 56 द्वारा प्रदस शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निम्मलिखित श्रावेश एतद्द्वारा करते हैं, अर्थात्:-
1. ( 1 ) इस श्रादेश का नाम संघ राज्य क्षेत्र शासम ( कठिनाइयों का निराकरण ) श्रादेश संख्या 6 होगा ।
( 2) यह तुरन्त प्रभावी होगा ।
2 निम्मलिखित उपान्तरण के अधीन रहते हुए , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1950 ( 1950 का 43 ) का प्रभाव होगा, अर्थान
उक्त प्रतिनियय की द्वितीय अनुसूची में " II संच राज्य भेव " शीर्षक के नीचे मंद 4 बौर उसने सम्बन्धित प्रविष्टियों के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित अन्तःस्थापित किया जाएगा ,
" ४. खोजोरम........ 30 ..... " ।

3. निम्नलिखित उपान्तरण के अधीन रहते हुए लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) का प्रभाव होगा, अर्थात्--
उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 15 मे, उप-धारा ( 1 ) के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित परन्तुक अन्त.- स्थापित किया जाएगा, अर्थात्ः-
" परन्तु, सम्यक् समय मे, विधि के अनुमार मीजोरम संघ राज्य क्षेत्र के लिए प्रथम विधान सभा के गठन के प्रयोजन के लिए साधारण निर्वाचन भी किया जाएगा । "
4. मीजोरम सघ राज्य क्षेत्र के सभ निर्वाचन क्षेत्रो मे प्रत्येक के लिए , जो संघ राज्य क्षेत्र शासन अधिनियम , 1963 ( 1963 का 20 ) की धारा 43- क के अधीन परिसीमित किया गया है, निर्वाचन नामावलि, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1950 ( 1950 का 43 ) के प्रयोजनो के लिए असम राज्य के सभी निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों की निर्वाचन नामावलिमों के , जो उस क्षेत्र मे गा उसके भाग से सम्बन्धित हो, उतने भाग को एकलित करके बनाई जाएगी , जो 21 जनवरी , 1972 से , मीजोरम सघ राज्य क्षेत्र के उम सभी निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के भीतर अन्र्तावष्ट हो , और इस प्रकार नायी गई निर्वाचन नामावलियां उन सगी निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के लिए निर्वाचन नामावलि होगी।
