NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th March 1972
S.O. 189(E).—In pursuance of section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of l951), the President is pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of the States, specified in column 1 of the table below, to elect, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and the rules and orders mads thereunder, the number of members specilled against those Stater in column 2 of the said table for filling the seats of members of the Council of States reining on the 2nd April, 1972, on the expiration of their term of office including one seat of a member representing the State of Orissa who has reigned and who but for such resignation would have otherwise retired on the 2nd April, 1972:—
