ORDER

New Delhi, the 17th March 1972

G.S.R. 194(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Southern States (Regulation of Export of Rice) Order, 1964, namely.—

1. (1) This Order may be called the Southern States (Regulation of Export of Rice) Amendment Order, 1972.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. In clause 3A of the Southern States (Regulation of Export of Rice) Order, 1964, for the Explanation, the following Explanation shall be substituted, namely:—

"Explanation.—For the purposes of this clause, 'border area' means the area within the five mile belt inside a specified area and adjoining another specified area".
