New Delhi , the 17th March 1972
S.O. 196 ( E ) .- Whereas an election is required to be held by Section 18 of the North -Eastern Areas ( Reorganisation) Act , 1971 ( 81 of 1971 ) , to elect a representa- tive from the Mizoram ( ST) Parliamentary constituency in the Union Territory of Mizoram as if the seat of the member elected to the House of the People from that constituency has become vacant :
Now , therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of section 149 of the Representa- tion of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 28th April , 1972 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder a person who is a member of any of the Scheduled Tribes to fill the said seat

एस ० श्रो ० 196 ( प्र ) . यतः , पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र ( पुनर्गठन ) अधिनियम , 1971 ( 1971 का 81 ) की धारा 18 द्वारा मीजोरम मध राज्यक्षेत्र में मोजोरम ( अ ० ज ० जा ० ) संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से एक प्रतिनिधि का निर्वाचन करने के लिए निर्वाचन किया जाना अपेक्षित है , मानो उस निर्वाचन क्षत्र से लोक सभा के लिए निर्वाचित सदस्य का स्थान रिक्त हो गया हो ;
अतः, अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनिग्म , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 149 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से एतद्वारा यह अपेक्षा करता है कि वह उस स्थान को भरने के लिए 28 अप्रैल , 1972 से पूर्व , उक्त अधिनियम के और तदधीन बनाए गए नियमों और प्रादेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक ऐसा व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दे जो किसी अनुसूचित जनजाति का सदस्य हो ।

8.O. 197 ( E ) -In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the election to be held in Mizoram ( ST ) Parliamentary constituency in the Union territory of Mizoram in pursuance of its notification No. 464 / MIZ / HP / 72 (1) dated the 17th March, 1972 .
( a) the 24th March , 1972 ( Friday) , as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 25th March , 1972 ( Saturday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nomina- tions;
( c) the 27th March , 1972 ( Monday) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 18th April , 1972 ( Tuesday ) , as the date on which a poil shall , if neces- sary , be taken ; and
te) the 28th April , 1972 ( Friday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

( क) नामनिर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख
24 मार्च , 1972 (शुक्रवार);
(ख ) नामनिर्देशन की संवीक्षा की तारीख
25 मार्च , 1972 (शनिवार);
( ग ) अभ्यर्थिता वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख
27 मार्च , 1972 (सोमवार) ;

(घ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान 18 अप्रैल , 1972 होगा । (मंगलवार); तथा
(ड) यह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन ममाप्त कर दिया 28 अप्रैल , 1972 जाएगा
(शुक्रवार) ;
एतद्वारा नियत करना है ।

In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ), the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 7 A.M, to 5 P.M as the hours during which a poil shall , if necessary , be taken for the election to the House of the People from Mizoram ( ST) Parliamentary constituency, to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 464 / MIZ / HP / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 17th March , 1972 .

एस ० श्री० 198 ( प्र):-लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43) की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 464/मीजो०-लो ० स ०/ 72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 17 मार्च , 1972 के अनुसरण में मीजोरम ( अ ० ज ० जा ० ) संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए 7 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 5 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो, मतदान होगा ।
