NOTIFICATION
INLAND AIR TRAVEL TAX
New Delhi, the 18th March 1972
G.S.R. 196(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Inland Air Travel Tax Act, 1871 (48 of 1971), the Central Government hereby exempts members of either House of Parliament from the tax leviable under the said Act in respect of every inland air journey performed by them under the provisions of section 4 or section 5 of the Salaries and Allowances of Members of Parlia ment Act, 1954 (30 of 1954), subject to the condition that such members shall" while presenting the credit note, cash or cheque for the amount of the fare for such journey, furnish a certificate signed by them (including therein their Divi sion number), that the journey is covered by section 4 or section 5 of the Salaries and Allowances of Members of Parliament Act, 1954
