In exercise of the powers confuned by clause ( d ) of Rule 8 of the Rajya Sabhe Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service Rules , 1957 , the Chairman after consul- tation with the Ministry of Finance hereby directs that the existur & Secord Schedule rotlose rules along with thes cales of pay shown against each post there in, shall be replaced by the following Sche- dule along with the revised scales of pay shown against each post :-

[Consequent on the im- plementation of the re- comendation of Pay Com- mission in the Rajya Sabha Secretariat , the cadres of Superintendent ( Class I- Gazetted ) and Assistant Superintendent ( Class II-Gazetted ) were mer- ged into a new cadre of Section Officer ( Class II -Gazetted ) with effect from the 11th November 1960 and all the then existing permanent and temporary posts in the cadres of Superintendent and Assistant Superin- tendent were brought on to the new cadre of Sect- 10n Officers from the same date , Persons who on the oththe 10th November , 1960, were drawing pay in the scale of Rs . 600-40- 800/ Rs . 530-30-800 were however , allowed to retain the status of Class I or Class II Officers as the case may be ] .
