New Delhi, the 4th April, 1972

G.S.R. 136 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Sevices Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) read with rule 11 of the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, the Central Government in consultation with the Government of states concerned hereby makes the following amendments to schedule III appended to the said rules

2. (1) These amendments may be called the fifth amendment of 1972 to the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Rules, 1954.

(2) These amendments shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

3. In the said schedule III, under the heading A Posts carrying pay above the time scale pay in the Indian Administrative service under the State Governments in the table for the
