NOTIFICATION

G.S.R. 242(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Pass- ports Act, 1967 (15 of 1967). the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments In the notification of the Government of India In the Ministry of External Affairs No. G.S.R. 70(E) dated the 3rd February, 1972. namely:—
In the Schedule to the said notification.— (a) against serial number 2 relating to Assam, in column (2), after item 13, the following item shall be inserted, namely:—
"14. Deputy Commissioner, Dibrugarh District Dibrugarh.";
(b) against serial number 5 relating to Haryana, in column (2):— (i) for item 3, the following item shall be substituted, namely:—
"3. Deputy Secretary to the Government of Haryana. Home-I Department Chandigarh.";
(ii) after item 3. so substituted the following Item shall be inserted.
namely—
"4. Commissioner, Ambala Division, Ambala.";
(c) against serial number 8 relating to Kerala, in column (2), for Item 3, the following item shall be substituted, namely:—
"3. Joint Secretary to the Government of Kerala, Home Department Trivandrum.";
(d) against serial number 10 relating to Maharashtra, in column (2), for item 2, the following item shall be substituted, namely:—
"2. Under Secretary to the Government of Maharastra, General Adminis- tration Department, Pass-port Office, Barrack No. 3, Behind "Yogak- shema", Cama Road, Marine Lines, Bombay-20.";

'2. Special Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, ShUlong.
3. Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Home Department (Passport Branch), Shillong.
4. Additional Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Home Depart- ment (Passport Branch), Shillong,
5. under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Home Department, (Passport Branch), Shillong.":
(f) against serial number 16 relating to Punjab, in column (2).—
(i) for item 3, the following item shall be substituted, namely:—-
"3. Assistant Secretary to the Government df Punjab. Home Department, Chandigarh.";
Ui) item 6 shall be omitted;
(iil) Items 1 to 10, shall be re-mimbered as 8 to 9, respectively;
(g) against serial number 20 relating to Uttar Pradesh, in column (2), for items 1 and 3, the following items shall be substituted, namely;—
"2. Under Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Griha (Passport) Anubhag, Lucknow.
3, Under Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Griha (Visa) Anu- bhag, Lucknow.";
(h) against serial number 21 relating to West Bengal, in column (2), after Item 33, the following items shall be Inserted, namely:- —
"34, Special Officer to the Government of West Bengal, Home (Passport;
Department, Calcutta-16.
35. District Magistrate, Midnapore.";
(i) against serial number 29 relating to Pondlcherry, in column (2), for items 2 and 3. the following items shall lie substituted, namely:—
"2. Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Pondicherry.
3. Public Relation Officer and Ex-Offleio Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Pondicherry.''
