New Delhi, the 29th April 1972
G.S.R. 266(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1&51 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rule (1) and first proviso to sub-rule (2) of rule 4 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, the Central Government in consultation with the Govern- ments of the States concerned, hereby makes the following regulations, namely: —
2. (1) These Regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Third Amendment Regulations. 1972.
(2) These amendments shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Gazette of India.
Amendment to the Fixation of Cadre Strength Regulations
3. In the Schedule to the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations. 1955, (a) for the headings 'Andhra Pradesh', 'Gujarat', 'Himachal Pradesh', 'Kerala', 'Maharashtra', Tamil Nadu' and 'Uttar Pradesh', and the entries occurring thereunder, the following shall be substituted, namely: —
