No. 91-ITC (PN)72.—Attention of importers is invited to import policy JIB contained in the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book—Vol. I) for the period April 1972—March 1973.

2. The following amendments shall be made at appropriate places in the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book—Vol. I) for the period April 1972—March 1973 :—

April 1972-March 1973,

No. 92-ITC(PN)/72.—Attention IK invited to the import policy for raw ma- terials, components and sppi-cs for small scale industiial units as contained in. Section I cf the I.T.C. policy (Red Book—Vol. I) for Aoril 1972-March 1973 according to which the existing units are required tc a^p'V for licences direct to the licensing authorities concerned for items appearing- in tneii piLvious licence where such items are permissible under the current policy in force. It may be clarified that if an applicant requires +~- import an iterr wbi"h does not appear in his previous licence but is permissible for import under the policy currently in :Corce, the licensing authorit / will consider requests J. jr impoi i of such an item to the unit on the recommendation of the sponsoring authority concerned. The units should, therefore, include such ite-m(s) in the import application and approach the sponsoring authority separately for obtaining its recommendation.

)2.- If the item is included in the application submitted in time or If the request far such an item is made to the sponsoring authority in time, the licensing authority will consider the request as and when recommended by the sponsoring authority.
