S.Ο. 453 ( E ) .-Whereas a vancancy has occurred in the Council of States due to the death of Shri D. Sanjiveyya , a member elected to the Council of States from Andhra Pradesh , before the expiration of his term of office;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 147 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh to elect , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder , a person to fill the vacancy so caused 'before the 24th July , 1972 ( Monday ) .

एस ० श्रो० 453 ( प्र ) यतः, श्रान्ध्र प्रदेश से राज्य सभा के लिए निर्वाचित सदस्य श्री डी० संजीवैय्या की पदावधि के अवसान से पूर्व मृत्यु हो जाने से राज्य सभा में एक स्थान रिक्त हो गया है;

अतः , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 147 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग आंध्र प्रदेश राज्य को विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से एतद्वारा अपेक्षा करता है कि वे ऐसे हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिए 24 जुलाई 1972 ( सोमवार) से पूर्व, उक्त अधिनियम के और तद्धीन बनाए गए नियमों और श्रादेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दें ।

In pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby ap- points for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuancersuance of its notification No. 100 / CS - AP / 7 / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 3rd July , 1972 .
(a ) the 10th July , 1972 ( Monday ) , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) the 11th July , 1972 ( Tuesday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nomina- tions;
( c) the 13th July, 1972 ( Thursday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d ) the 20th July , 1972 ( Thursday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary, be taken ; and
(e) the 24th July , 1972 ( Monday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

एस० प्रो० 454 (प्र ) लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 39 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100/रा ० स ० अ ० प्र०/ 7/72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 3 जुलाई, 1972 के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के बारे में :-
(क) नामनिर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख-10 जुलाई, 1972 ( सोमवार );
(ख) नामनिर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीव्र 11 जुलाई, 1972 ( मंगलवार ) ;
(ग ) अभ्यथिताएं वापस लेने को अन्निम तारीख 13 जुलाई , 1972 ( बृहस्पतिवार ) ;
( घ ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान होगा तथा 20 जुलाई, 1972 (बृहस्पतिवार );
(ङ ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा-- 24 जुलाई, 1972 (सोमवार);
एतद्वारा नियत करता है ।
[सं ० 100/ रा ० स ० श्र ० प्र०/ 7/ 72 ( 2 ) ] S.O. 455 ( E ) .-In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary , be taken for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100/CS - AP/ 7/72 ( 1 ) , dated the 3rd July, 1972 .

एस ० श्रो० 455 ( प्र) लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100/ रा ० स ० श्रा ० प्र०/ 7/ 72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 3 जुलाई, 1972 के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए 10 बजे पूर्वाल से 4 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो, मतदान होगा ।

In pursuance of the provisions of section 21 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission , in consultation with the Government of Andhra Pradesh , hereby designates the Secretary to the Govern- ment of Andhra Pradesh Legislature Committee Department , as the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / CS - AP / 7 / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 3rd July , 1972 .

एस० प्रो ० 456 ( श्र) लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 21 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए निर्वाचन आयोग आन्ध्र प्रदेश सरकार के परामर्श से , अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100 / रा ० म ० अ ०प्र ० / 7/ 72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 3 जुलाई , 1972 के श्रनुज़रण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए सचिव , श्रन्ध्र प्रदेश सरकार , विधान मण्डल विभाग को रिटर्निंग श्राफिमर के रूप में एतद्वारा पदाभिहित करता है ।

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints the Assistant Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh , Legisla- ture ( Committee ) Department , to assist the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / CS - AP/ 7/72 ( 1 ) , dated the 3rd July , 1972 , in the performance of his functions .
