SUBJECT.—Revision of the Exchange Rates between foreign currencies and Indian Rupees which have been allowed to float—Adjustment in the value of licences.
No. 109-ITC(PN)/72.—Attention is invited to para 2 of Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. 111-ITC(PN)/71, dated the 1st September, 1971 which details the manner in which the value of import licences already issued under free resources (where remittances in cash are allowed) should be adjusted con- sequent on the fluctuations in the exchange rates of the currencies mentioned therein. The same procedure should be adopted potatis mutandis for adjustments in the value of the licences issued from 23rd August, l971/28th August, 1971 to the 19th December, 1971. In respect of licences issued from the 20th December, 1971, the procedure outlined in the Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. l6-ITC(PN)/72, dated 28th January, 1972 will apply
