G.S.R. 359(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the North-Eastern Council Act, 1971 (84 of 1971), the Central Govern- ment hereby appoints the 1st day of August, 1972 as the date on which the provisions of that Act shall come into force.
