NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 26th July 1972
S.O. 506 ( E ) .- Whereas under sub - section ( 1 ) of section 72 of the Punjab Re- organisation Act , 1966 ( 31 of 1966 ) , read with sub - section ( 3 ) thereof , the Board constituted under the Sikh Gurdwaras Act , 1925 ( Punjab Act 8 of 1925 ) , shall , on and from the first day of November , 1966 , continue to function and operate in those areas in respect of which it was functioning and operating immediately before that day , subject to such directions as may , from time to time , be issued by the Central Government , until other provision is made by law in respect of the said Board ;
And whereas under sub - section ( 2 ) of the said section 72 , any such direction may include a direction that any law by which the said Board is governed shall , in its application to that Board have effect , subject to such exceptions and modi- fications as may be specifled in the direction ;

Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) , read with sub - sections ( 2 ) and ( 3 ) , of the said section 72 , the Central Government hereby directs that the Sikh Gurdwaras Act , 1925 ( Punjab Act 8 of 1925 ) , shall have effect , as from the date of issue of this notification , subject to the following further modifications , namely :-
Section 115. In sub - section ( 1 ) , for the words " State Government " . the words " Government of the State of Punjab " shall be substituted .
Section 116. In sub- sections ( 1 ) and ( 4 ) , for the words " State Govern- the words ment " , wherever they occur , the words " Government of the State of Punjab " shall be substituted .
Section 118.--In sub - section ( 2 ) , for the words " State Government " , the words " Government of the State of Punjab " shall be substituted.
Section 121. In sub - section ( 2 ) , for the words " State Government " , the words "Government of the State of Punjab " shall be substituted.
Section 122. In sub - sections ( 1 ) and ( 5 ) , for the words " State Govern- ment" , wherever they occur , the words " Government of the State of Punjab" shall be substituted.

ता ० प्रा० 506 ( प्र) यतः पंजाब पुनर्गठन अधिनियम , 1966 ( 1966 का 31 ) की धारा 72 की उपधांरा ( 3 ) के साथ पठित उसकी उपधारा ( 1 ) के अधीन स्थिति यह है कि सिख गुरुद्वारा अधिनियम , 1925 ( 1925 का पंजाब अधिनियम सं ० 8 ) के अधीन गठित बोर्ड नवम्ब र 1966 के प्रथम दिन से, उन क्षेत्रों में , जिनकी बाबत वह उस दिन के ठीक पहले कार्य करता था , ऐसे निदेशों के अधीन रहते हुए जो केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा समय समय पर दिए जाएं तब तक कार्य करता रहेगा तब तक उक्त बोर्ड के बारे में विधि द्वारा अन्य उपबन्ध न किया जाए ;
और यनः उक्त धारा 72 की उपधारा ( 2 ) के अधीन ऐसे किसी निदेश के अन्तर्गत ऐसा निदेश भी हो सकेगा कि कोई विधि, जिसके द्वारा उक्त बोर्ड शासित होना हो , उम बोर्ड को लागू होने में , ऐसे अपवादों और उपान्तरों के महित , प्रभावी होगी जो उम निदेश में विनिदिष्ट हों ;
अतः , अब उक्त धारा 72 की उपधारा ( 2 ) और ( 3 ) के साथ पठित उपधारा ( 1 ) दुद्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्रीय सरकार , एतद्वारा निदेश देती है कि सिख गुरुद्वारा अधि- नियम , 1925 ( 19 " 5 का पंजाब अधिनियम सं ० 8 ) इम अधिसूचना के जारी होने की तारीख से, निम्नलिखित और उपान्तरों के महित प्रभावी होगा, अर्थात्:
धारा 115 -- उपधारा ( 1 ) मे " राज्य सरकार" शब्दो के स्थान पर " पंजाब राज्य की सरकार " शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।

धारा 116-- उपधारा ( 1 ) और ( 4 ) में, जहां भी " राज्य सरकार " शब्द आए हैं, उनके स्थान पर , " पंजाब राज्य की सरकार " शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।
धारा 118- उपधारा ( 2 ) में, " राज्य मरकार " शब्दों के स्थान पर , "पंजाब राज्य की सरकार " शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।
बारा 121 -- उपधारा ( 2 ) में, "राज्य सरकार " शब्दों के स्थान पर " पंजाब राज्य की सरकार" शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।
धारा 122-- उपधारा ( 1 ) और ( 5 ) में, जहां भी " राज्य सरकार " शब्द आए हैं , उनके स्थान पर , "पंजाब राज्य की सरकार" शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।
