NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th July 1972
G.S.R. 364(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 258 of the Constitution and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the President, with the consent of the Government of Himachal Pradesh, hereby entrusts, the functions of the Central Government under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (1 of 1894) except the function exercisable by the Central Government under the proviso to sub-section (i) of section 55 of the said Act and the Land Acquisition (Companies Rules 1963, in relation to the acquisition of land for the purposes of the Union in the State of Himachal Pradesh, subject to the following conditions, namely:—
(a) that in the exercise of such functions, the Government of Himachal Pradesh shall comply with such general or social directions as the Central Government may, from time to time issue; and
(b) that notwithstanding the entrustment, the Central Government may
