ORDER

New Delhi, the 1st September 1972

S.O. 572(E)/18/IDRA/72.—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development and Company Affairs (Department of Industrial Development), No. S.O. 3091/18A/IDRA/67, dated the 2nd September, 1967 (as amended from time to time), the management of the industrial undertaking known as Messrs Diwan Sugar arid General Mills, Private Limited, Sakhoti-Tanda, District Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, had been taken over in so far as it relates to the sugar industry, by the Uttar Pradesh State Sugar Corpo- ration Limited for a period of five yeans up to and inclusive of the 1st September, 1972;

And whereas the Central Government is of opinion that it ia expedient in the public interest that the management of the said industrial undertaking by the said Uttar Pradesh Sugar Corporation Limited should continue for a further period of two years;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub- aection (2) of section IA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby directs that the Order men- tioned above shall continue to have effect for a further period up to and inclusive of the 1st September, 1974.
