IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT.—Import Trade Control Policy for the year April 1972—March 1973.
No, 133-ITC(PN)/72.—Attention is invited to the import policy for Rough Blanks other than bifocal blanks for actual users as given in Section II (Page 65) of the Import Trade Control Policy(Red Book—Vol. I) for April 1972—March, 1973.
2. On a review, it has been decided to amend the existing remark (i) against Serial No. 93-94(a)(iv)(a)/V, appearing in Column 4 of the statement of policy in page 65, referred to above, as under: —
"The requirements of actual users will be met on a restricted basis by imports through the public sector agency. Please see Section III of this Book. Actual Users should make applications to the licensing authority concerned in the prescribed form and manner accompanied with the details of their requirements in the proforma annexed to this Public Notice. The applicant should furnish 5 copies of the proforma duly filled in, A copy of the proforma should also be separately sent to M/s. Bharat Ophthalmic Glass Ltd,. Durgapur. The licensing authority will issue the release order, a copy of which will also be endorsed by the licensing authority to M/s. Bharat Ophthalmic Glass Ltd. The release order will be subject to the condition that it will be valid for allotment of imported materials through the S.T.C. only for the specification and the value for which the goods covered by the R.O. are not supplied by M/s. Bharat Ophthalmic Glass Ltd."
